L’Antica Conceria: a building dating back to the 1700s in the heart of the Sassi
The building that today houses our bed and breakfast has a history spanning more than three centuries: first a leather tannery, then an olive mill, and now a place of hospitality. The rooms retain original tuff barrel vaults, cave-like spaces and restored antique furniture, combined with modern comforts such as air conditioning, an independent entrance and a private bathroom in every room.
We are located in Vico II Casalnuovo, just a few steps from the historic centre and the Sasso Caveoso — a position that allows guests to enjoy views over the Matera Gravina from spacious terraces and gardens.
